Buck Pride is a revived organization stimulating our students to have: school spirit, school loyalty, and pride in themselves, their school, and their community. Buck Pride stresses the importance of support to competitors and creates a lasting bond between its members. Since Buck Prides return; spirit has become a contagious thrill of our community! We are very proud to say that membership in the organization includes 85% of the White Deer High School Student body. The Buck Pride organization provides support both school and community activities. They travel to various events providing encouragement, support and spirit to all the individuals involved. Buck Pride has supported individuals and teams as they participate in their areas of competition and have lead special send offs for State level competitors. Buck Pride members work together to create the sense of school spirit that they will be remembered for a lifetime. Various activities have been our Brisket Luncheon that catered to over 200 individuals, our “Amazing Spirit Race”, and their involvement with the White Deer Lions Club, in earning money toward the future home of the White Deer food pantry. Last spring, the members participated in a Team Building/Leadership field trip to Ceta Canyon. All the teachers heartily support the purpose of Buck Pride. Send accolades to the ones that travel with the Buck Pride Members s to EVERY event, Mr. Wade Petty, and Paul Thomas are inspired by the motivation of this group of students. Our principal summed it up best when he said: “Buck Pride…. You can’t beat, so just line up behind it!” |
