 Grading Policy

BCIS1 - Desktop Publishing - Multi-Media

                                                   i.     

Test/Projects = 50% 

  • (projects may be counted as more than 1 test g

  • Students will be informed in advance of the grade distribution of projects.

Daily Grades = 30%

  • Includes daily work & quiz types of grades

Participation Grades = 20%

  • Includes active participation in step-by-step for 1st time learning activities.

  • Assisted group/independent activities.

  • Active working/participation on a random basis for projects.

DUAL CREDIT BCIS 2

 

This class is predominately determined by the AC teacher.  However I choose the grade distribution for the High School class grades.  This is the reason this class has a different grading policy than my other classes.

 

Test/Projects = 50% 

  • Regular Chapter Tests are counted 1 time at 50%

  • Major Exams in the Prentice Hall Online Site are counted twice

  • Major Exams in the TIA Lecture Book are counted twice

Lab Grades = 30%

  • These are the labs done each week

Activity Grades = 20%

  • These are for actively participating in the Practice Tests available online.

Consequences

We will follow the AUP Policies concerning computer use.  If a student fails to do so they will be referred to the principal for appropriate actions. Other standard consequences are as follows.

1.   Warning
2.   Removal From Computer
3.   Removal From Class
4.  Office Referral
5.  Sent to office
