All-District Does

Becca Rapstine was named to the 2^nd team All District for the second year in a row.  Junior guard Whitney Evenson was also named to the 2^nd team.  Aubri Poor, Brittany Warminski, and Shea Craig received honorable mention honors.

WDHS One Act Gathers Honors

 WDHS competed in One Act Zone competition, and was named alternate play.  A Midsummer Night’s Dream was this years play, directed by Jennifer Rapstine.  Matt Cobb was chosen as best actor, Joshuah Rutten was named to the all-star cast, and Sierra Grange and Kelsey Armstrong were named as honorable mention all-star cast.  Congratulations to all who competed.

All-District Bucks

Parker Petty and Cameron Swarb were named to the First Team All District while Jake Diggs was named to the second team.  Shelby Clements and Tyler Perryman were recognized with honorable mention honors.

FCCLA Tunes Into State

          On Thursday, April 12, FCCLA headed to Dallas to compete in the State Competition.  This year’s theme is Tuning into FCCLA, and WDHS has ** members competing this year.  Some events include Parliamentary Procedure (Jr Team: Andrea Cook, Abby Criswell, Casey McAnally, Whitney Roe, Sierra Grange, Britney Evenson, Kiley Goldston, and Dusty-Michelle Armstrong; Sr. Team: Dwight Cowan, Kendall Hunt, Trevor Ballard, Katelyn Freeman, Aaron Reyes, Cameron Armstrong, Matt Cobb, Audie Gaines), Entrepreneurship (Amber Roseth and Heaven Swanson), Job Interview (Becky Richerson), Applied Technology (Thomas Rapstine, Phillip Robinson & Cody Hastings), Career Investigation (Sara Osbin), and Chapter Service Project (Kim Stover, Holly Rose & Andrea Bailey).  Good Luck, FCCLA!!

Jake Diggs In All Star Game

Jake will be playing in the Golden Spread All-Star Game in Canyon at WTAMU Event Center on April 12, 13, and 14^th.  He will be playing for the East Team.

15 Compete in Area Track Meet

 These following athletes made it to area with these placing:  Boy’s varsity track team received 3^rd place over all.  The boy’s 400 M relay team placed 1^st:  Josh Curtis, Brice Bennett, Trevor Ballard, and Audie Gaines,.  800 M relay team (Josh Curtis, Audie Gaines, Blake Owens, and Tyler Perryman) received 6^th place.  The 3200 M relay team (Brice Bennett, Parker Petty, Blake Owens, and Thomas Rapstine) placed 3^rd.  Cameron Armstrong received 1^st in discus 2^nd in shot put.  Blake Owens placed 5^th in high jump.  Continued on Back.

Petty and Swarb All-Region Basketball

Parker Petty and Cameron Swarb were chosen as members of the All-Region Basketball team at this years UIL state tournament.  Congratulations guys!

District Golf

Cameron Swarb placed 1^st, and Kaycia Mitchell placed 4^th at the District Golf Meet in Borger.  Both will advance to regionals on April 23-24 in Lubbock.  Way to go, golfers
