Duties: I will be teaching Government and Economics and my coaching duties are assistant football, assistant girls basketball, and head girls track coach.

Government course description: Study the institutions of the American constitutional republic and the fundamental principles and values upon which it was founded. Study the Constitution, examine the structure of republican government, and learn to evaluate rights and responsibilities as citizens in a democratic society.
Government syllabus:
1st Six Weeks: People and government, origins of American government, the Constitution.
2nd Six Weeks: The federal system, the organization of Congress, Congress at work.
3rd Six Weeks: The Presidency, Presidential leadership, elections and voting.
Economics course description: Basic principles of economics and economic ways of thinking, including problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Economics syllabus:
1st Six Weeks: What is economics, Economic systems and the American economy, your role as a consumer.
2nd Six Weeks: Going into debt, buying the necessities, saving and investing.
3rd Six Weeks: Demand and supply, money and banking
Grading policy: Tests and major projects 60%, daily work and homework 40%.
· Extra credit is not allowed.
· Physical Education grading is based upon daily grades taken everyday based upon the
students level of participation.
