Petty Recognized by Amarillo Chamber of Commerce

Parker Petty was recognized Thursday, March 27th by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce luncheon as the 1A Basketball Player of the month for February. Parker led the Bucks into the playoffs and was instrumental in the Bucks run to the State Tournament in March. In February, the Bucks went on to finish off a District Championship and defeat Vega, Sudan, Smyer and Roscoe all in February to earn a berth in the Tournament. Parker averaged almost 13 ppg while grabbing 8 RB's a game on the month. Petty led the way in the Regional Qtr-Final game by starting the game out 4 for 4 and hitting the first 8 points for the game. Parker was honored along with other area athletes who excelled in their sports. Each month the Chamber honors area athletes with the luncheon. Wade and Lisa Petty along with Coach Warren Swarb attended the luncheon to honor Parker, a well deserved award.
